Everton Have Gotten A Steal After Agreeing Knockdown Fee For Ireland’s Mark Travers

One Ireland goalkeeper has already been involved in a high profile transfer this summer, with Caoimhín Kelleher joining Brentford in a deal worth up to £18million.

It was widely expected that the Cork man would leave Liverpool during the off-season, having spent far too long as a backup goalkeeper at Anfield. He will now have the opportunity to establish himself as a Premier League no.1.

It always seemed likely that he would be joined by another Irish stopper in switching clubs this summer, with Mark Travers having run his course at Bournemouth.

Many assumed that he would end up at a Championship club after an impressive loan spell at Middlesbrough last season. However, he is now set for a Premier League move.
